Description

Based on one - component polyurethane resins, « Legno Vivo » is a high - gloss, air - drying, quick - hardening transparent varnish; the dry film has high abrasion, weather and chemical resistance, good flexibility and compactness. It is suitable for wood substrates.

Use

This product is used for new, old, previously painted wooden surfaces as: match - boarding, shutters, fences, attics, and so on.

Preparation of surfaces

New or restored surfaces:
Sand in order to remove raised wood fibers, any traces of resin should be removed using a nitro thinner. Fill any imperfections, sand and remove dust.
Give a first coat of coloured filler.
After dying, sand and apply one coat of « LEGNO VIVO SINTETICO » for indoor applications, two coats for outdoor applications.
Already painted surfaces:
Remove old layers of paints that are peeling off and roughen the surface.
Sand any fillings and remove dust. Apply the primer as indicated above.

Ambient temperature:               from + 8  to  35° C
Temperature of the substrate:   > 5° C
Humidity:                                   0 - 80 %

Drying and hardening time

10° C : 6 hours to touch, 18 hours in depth
20° C : 3 hours to touch, 10 hours in depth
30° C : 1 hour to touch, 6 hours in depth

Time of overpainting

Minimum (hours): 10° C - 18 hours; 20° C - 10 hours; 30° C - 6 hours

Application

Brush, roller, spray
For brush application, use nylon or natural bristle brushes.
For roller application, use medium - haired rollers.
For application, use the method of crossing coats.

Shelf life

2 years in a cool and dry place (max 40° C)
